I'm building my first gaming computer. I am going to get either an AMD FX-8320 or a Intel i3-4330 as they are both within budget range. I heard Intels are better with gaming, which is why I might buy an i3, and then upgrade later, so I don't have to buy a new motherboard. What should I do? I am combining these CPUs with a GTX 970. Apparently neither CPU holds a 970 back, but the 8320 may or may not be the better choice. Please help guys, and please don't choose a specific card just because you are a fanboy of AMD or Intel!

I can tell you from my experience that AMDs tend to get hot faster than Intels, so you will have to get prepared with a large cooler for your notebook

Tablets based on both processors tend to behave in the same time

I suggest you use an Intel i3-4330, if you are considering to use multi-threaded games and applications that are heavy on graphics. You can test the GTX 970 drivers first if it would run well with the i3. Otherwise, get the AMD, but with some performance drawbacks.
