Samsung S5 running apps side by side?

I am having trouble with the split screen mode. Even for the apps that I know this feature is available, it is frustrating to use this feature - has anyone found any resources with more step by step instructions? And is there no way to use, say, a calculator and the Fiverr app in split screen, or the CBS app and a web browser?

1. From the home screen press the apps button in the bottom right corner.
2. Find and press the settings icon.
3. Under sound and display, press the multi window icon.
4. Flick the switch at the top of the screen to the right to enable the feature.
