Among the conifer species in the Cupressaceae family of cypress trees is Actinostrobus arenarius. Sandplain cypress, Bruce cypress, Bruce cypress-pine, and tamin are some of its common names. It only occurs in Western Australia.
This plant can reach heights of up to 5 meters (16 feet) as a shrub or tree. It bears thin branchlets on its spreading branches. The three-lobed, scale-like, gray-green leaves can reach a length of 1.2 centimeters (0.47 in).
The male cones are cylindric and can reach a length of half a centimeter. The female cones have pointy scales and can grow up to 2 cm (0.79 in) in length. They have seeds with wings.
