Devprayag is one of the Panch Prayags or five confluences and is situated on the confluence of River Alakananda and Bhagirathi, 70 km from Rishikesh. The two sacred rivers join to form the river, Ganga. A 10th century Raghunathji temple is situated here where Sri Ram performed penance for killing Ravana, the demon King.
