The app is almost completely free and can work normally whole life on the free version but it has paid version too which is called Discord Nitro. This paid version allows you to choose your custom tag, allow you to upload and use GIFs and animated emojis. It allows you to go live in 1080p 60fps. It allows you to upload files from ranging 8-100 MB file size. It puts up a cool little exclusive Nitro badge with your profile and it boosts your favourite server too.

Supported Languages: English

There is no need to worry if you want to chat and interact with a lot of friends and later call them while playing your favourite game as Discord provides you with all new VoIP platform to chat, call and share images and videos between users in chat channels.

It has taken over all its predecessor like Skype and TeamSpeak and filled the void of communicating with other players on more designated chatting and voice calling software during the game. It is easy to use. When you open the app it gives you the option either to Register or Login for new and old users respectively.

App Features and Capabilities
• Join a Server: You get either invited to a server or you invite others to yours. These servers are further broken down into Chat Channels and there are different channels for different topics where you can share videos, pictures, GIFs and chat with several people.

• Make friends: Adding other people from the same server is pretty easy as you tap on username and “Add Friend” option will be there and you can add people by searching them with their username and putting four-digit “DiscordTag”. They will appear in your friend list from where you can Direct Message them

• Connections: You can go to Connections and link other profiles of your to your discord profile and build your discord profile. You can add your Xbox Live, Reddit, Spotify, Steam, Twitch and several other profiles.

• Texting: Texting has been made more fun as you can upload and send gifs, images and videos from your gallery. You can add a reaction to other’s messages with given Emoji. You can edit and delete your sent message by tap holding the message.

• Calling: You can make a Voice Channel and start a voice call and whoever wants to join the call can tap on voice channel and be part of the server voice call and as discord unveiled that maximum 25 users can share their videos at a time.

• Live Streaming: Discord allows you to stream your screen or console screen with 1080p 60fps on paid version and it is a very beneficial feature for the gamers as they can stream and share their gameplay with server uninterrupted.

Pros
• It’s easy to make groups as you create a server and you can send invite links to your friends who will join it by clicking and you will be CEO of the group and manage the group.

• The messaging system is clean and tidy and you can PING a person if you want to mention a specific person in a chat. You can rearrange your different servers.

• You can add Bots and Robots to your servers to add fun and assist you. You can mute yourself during calls or you can lower the volume of a specific person if it’s disturbing you.

• You can add multiply voice and chat channels for different purposes in a server.

Cons
• It does not take privacy into context with screenshotting the chat just like the Snapchat which puts your privacy into risk as it does not notify you when someone takes the screenshot of the chat.

• If you are irritated by swearing or foul language on the internet so Discord does not allow you to filter such messages which contain potential harm to the receiver’s character.

• If someone adds you, it takes you directly to direct messages even after a lot of leaves which can be annoying at times.

App Usage:
Likes:
1. It has dark mode interference which can make it even cooler with its a lot of cool features and with its voice channel, I’m not disturbed by call pop-ups like other calls during calls or group calls as it’s my own choice to either join the channel or not on my own without disturbing me while I’m working.
2. Its feature of showing that “someone is typing” is very important in my opinion as most of the other apps do not include it but I love this cool little feature.

Dislikes:
1. It does not allow you to send large files and allow you to send GIFs or animated emojis on the free version of the app which is a major let-off for me.
2. It has a confusing UI for the beginners but gradually you will learn a lot and be comfortable.
