- Downcast introduced some codes which resulted in infinite loops which caused heating up of phone, lagging, crashing of Downcast itself and sometimes crashing other applications in phone as well. It was at peak around 2015-16 which leaves a bad impression altogether.
- It is also not liked due to its inability that it doesn’t sync with iTunes which is offered by other podcast apps.
- After a specified amount of time when lapsed, it does not contain the ability to start episodes.
