People who can't afford a Starbucks rely on instant coffee bought from a nearby store, cheaper, easier to make and more accessible. Convenient. I drink coffee in the morning and as my snacks in the afternoon, even when I'm in front of my computer working as well. I pair my coffee with whatever snack food I see here. In our place there are people wandering and selling something to eat like the puto, Puto is a native food in the Philippines which is made mostly with glutinous rice and coconut milk. We also make homemade spaghetti whenever there is a special occasion. The siniguelas (Spanish plum) was from my father's hometown, Medellin, it is a typical summer fruit here. There are also some food stalls in my neighborhood where they sell street foods like french fries, fish balls and the likes but the tempura is my favorite. But of course if we miss out the food sellers, another way to go is the store and buy something to eat like the crackers. Even if you don't go out to the market or restaurant , if you got money, you can't go hungry.
