Owners of the Sony Xperia SP, T, TX, and V can rejoice a long promised upgrade to Android 4.3.3 is coming and is expected to be released at the end of Janruary or early February according to the Sony Xperia blog – great news as the device was promised an update in December however several manufactuers have uturned of late on promises of upgrades or just killed off slightly older flagships HTC being the most notable after killing off two former flagship devices 18 months after initial release.
Xperia series are awesom, they made some good quality phone. Released & selling great in my country as the latest version was though now there is kitkat android

No matter whether you are a smartphone user of Sony, Samsung or HTC, there is no guarantee that you will get the latest firmware for your phone. If so, then these phone makers will not be able to deliver the latest models to you.

It’s a shame that “old” phones aren’t actually old. The same with computers and other tech devices. The manufacturers intentionally don’t offer upgrades, updates and support so soon after a new product release just to force people to buy brand new. The problem is that that’s really not fair to people who can’t afford to buy new equipment every year. I don’t think it’s necessary either. The people who always have to have the newest thing will still buy, buy, buy – the companies will still make plenty of money. But solid support for older tech should be offered for many years – for at least as long as the components of the device will last.

It`s not fair, but it`s always about the marketing
Customers have to purchase new gadgets, so that the company can be profitable, old models are no longer a priority for the company
I usually keep the old gadgets for my parents or frriends, who can`t afford to pay a lot for technology. I get some money and the guarantee my old stuff will be kindly treated by the new owners
