S3 / Note 2 Getting Kitkat | Telecom Consumer Discussion Forums

The rumour mill is in overdrive today and one of the most interesting rumours is that the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note II could receive Android 4.4.2 this year.. while samsung has never been the best for timely updates they have shown a willingness to keep older devices supported for as long as they can the original Note stopping support around 4.2 if I recall correctly which received an update last year.

If Samsung did update the S3 and Note II seems to be unimportant as if they didnt someone would via a ROM however manufacturers keeping devices in the software supported state only does wonders for customer feedback and Samsung releasing such an update could do wonders for their already pretty decent PR and Marketing folks.

None of this is confirmed but how excited would you be as an S3 owner getting the latest version of android on your near 2 year old device!
