Right, so I finally had it with my HTC One, there was a few major issues
1) Battery Life – It was just really really poor
2) Metal Back
I am sick of reading reviews about how great having a polished metal back looks.
Sorry but no, just no, practicality needs to come first. I never saw my super duper metal back as I had it within an Otterbox, and this is where I noticed the mammoth design flaw.
While the HTC One was within the Otterbox, sat on my dashboard, on charge (because of its shocking battery life), while giving me navigation directions…..It would stop charging. The LED would simply flash red.
GUESS WHY?
Because even on a cloudy day, just a little bit of sunlight was enough to cause the metal back to heat up enough for the phone not to continue charging. So basically, I would then have to take the phone out of the case and place it out of sunlight to cool down.
So I started using it without the case to let air get to it……and guess what, it still overheated on my dashboard.
I really with people would stop complaining about having a plastic back cover, Its the back, its not what you spend your time looking at. I would way rather have a flexible back cover, such as seen on most Samsung handsets, over the likes of Glass or Metal.
