Sprint’s being sued for $105 million for cramming customer’s bills with additional, unnecessary charges (source). It’s unfortunately a pretty common practice in the U.S. for telecoms to attempt this practice, thankfully sooner or later it eventually bites them where they don’t expect it. Unfortunately it’s a small fine compared to what they should do in my opinion. $105 million is sort of a drop in the bucket for these companies. Have you ever been overcharged by your telecom? I know AT&T among others has overcharged me before.

I think it`s a general practice, even in Europe I noticed from time to time some attempts to charge my bills more than consumed and it`s not precisely telecommunication services, also electricity
Naturally, if you complain about it, the company should register it and correct it, unless it wants to face the intervention of public authorities protecting customers` rights
