I noticed that Google has launched their new cellular service called Project FI. It’s not really a brand new service in a manner of speaking though, it piggy backs on Sprint and T-Mobile’s networks. The price is $20 for basic service and then $10 for every gigabyte of data. The neat thing about it is that they bill you for the data exactly and credit you the unused amount of data. E.g. you subscribe for $20 + 2GB of data, so $40 total, you only use 500mb of data, they credit you back $15 for your next month’s bill.   It seems interesting, what do all of you think?

Google will do anything to preserve its supremacy, yet the project seems to be quite attractive, I`m waiting to see it in Europe tooWink

Generally, for $20, you will get less traffic, but more vocal services

Well, you would still need a $30 plan if you wanted to use the features of a smart phone. But, if you only used 200mb of usage, then you’d only spend a total of $22, with $8 credited towards the next month. What I like about Google is that they shake up markets and competitors, even if they’re not directly competing.  I mean, an example, Google Fiber is only in a small amount of markets, but a lot of providers are now starting to offer 250mbps, 500mbps, 1gbps connections to keep up the marketing hype.

As you described it, I`m waiting to see this offer or similar ones in Europe. I bet that 25% of Europeans will give up their current subscriptions, to get Google`s package

Generally, you will have to use everything you got, although you might not need it, the possiblity to transfer some credit for the next month is extremely attractive
