I am resident of Kerala(India), I’ve been using BSNl(service provider) for the past 2 years. BSNL is probably the only government run service provider in India. My experience with them in the past 2 years can be called “neutral” – Ive never faced a big problem with getting signal/range anywhere, their coverage is pretty decent but the trouble comes with internet packs and offers. Internet packages by BSNL are pretty expensive and 3G coverage is really poor, using internet on BSNL is pretty stressful. If you are going to try BSNL just keep this in mind.

Not only in your country but also most of the cellphone service provider that is govt. property has some limitations like- you can talk cheap, get full network coverage, but it seems trouble when you try to use internet… They’ll not have the cheapest plan or strong network … Wink
