Well we are planning to go to India in Xmas holidays and I am not sure which is best way to Purchase SIM card and which is best for me, My traveling is around western and southern Indian area.

 

Also what short of documents I need to activate SIM card?

All you need is your Adhaar Card. A verification call from your telecom provider may follow.

You need either adhar card or voter card to buy a sim card .

You can get airtel sim with the copy of your Passport if you are not from India.Cool
