Hey guys, this is my second post in this sub forum. Last night messaging my senior on our office whatsapp group, i realized that the SMS is experiencing a slow death. I mean imagine 2-3 years back who would have really thought that official communications would be sent not through mails, not even SMS, not even written letters but rather your boss dropping orders on whatsapp. The best part for a boss is that it displays SENT so you have just cant make an excuse saying you never received it.
Well for efficiency it has added stars in that matter but then what about the SMS industry. Will it evolve again?
Something like free sms every month for every recharge you do.

Chat services have become life line. Every second person can be seen messaging on “whatsaap, line, viber” etc. But I certainly believe normal messages have their own value. There are times especially while when travelling in India that the signal strength is extremely poor and at this time trying to use internet is like breaking your own head. These chat services are of no use to me then. It’s the SMS that come to my rescue. And it’s my personal opinion spending 30 bucks on an SMS pack makes your life easy. I always prefer to have an SMS pack with my Idea and Aircel connection.

Yes i believe that more and more people have turned into messaging whether it is SMS or online messaging tools like whatsapp, viber. But still SMS has its own values as many times whatsapp or viber messages are generally ignored if they are posted in groups as it can not be deduced who has seen or not seen a message which was posted in whatsapp group.
