Keep in mind, these are all prices with an unlocked iPhone, not on contract which depending on your status may be possible – contacts usually cost upto %30 more but as they are spread out over a small monthly fee it’s often easier for some to do it that way.

If compare with the inflation rate, the 30% over price will be the big deal. I think spend the total amount of money from the beginning will be better idea.

i am asian too and it depends actually. if i have cash to spare, normally i’ll buy in cheaper countries like singapore and US (either during one of my singapore travels or ill ask a relative from US). or if i don’t have cash to buy, i’ll get a tie-up contract with leading service provide for 12-25 months and get the phone unit for free

Globe in PH has actually one of the best deals I have seen, they have a deal where you can pay the usual 1600 PCM (pesos) and for each iphone release you get a free upgrade for trading in your old device.. so in effect always the latest iphone.. nice deal!

just an added info, contract are usually on 12 or 24 or 36 months. but yes, with free upgrades once you finish the minimum monthly payment bond.

Hello guys, I am from Asia, How much does a Iphone 5 cost in USA these days? is it expensive there?
I`m not very sure about USA, but in Europe it`s a small fortune (about 300EURO), although you buy it with a 2-year contract of 30-40EURO. Taking in account the total amount of money, that you have to pay for Apple`s creation, I`m one of the customers willing to invest in the latest Android flagships rather than in iPhone
