my personal phone is pre-paid will my business phone is post-paid c/o my company of course. as per my experience. post paid service providers provide better reasonable rate for international oraming (calls/sms) whenever i travel abroad.
i speak both for my philippine and singapore experience. Phils i use smart and singapore i use starhub

I would say I`m the opposite case. I prefer to buy a pre-paid service from the country I`m travelling in, rather than using the benefits included in the contract my company has with a national carrier. It`s cheaper to speak from an UK number to an UK number, instead of using a Romanian number

For the moment, in Europe the telecommunication market seems to get more democratic each day. Smartphones are promoted with discounted prices, while contracts or prepaid services tend to offer more minutes and messages to be used with minimal costs. For example, with 5EURO you can have the best of your carrier: national and few international mintues, plus some internet traffic for your smartphone
