I occasionally use Snapchat to basically speak to friends and family, but I wouldn’t say it’s as good as Whatsapp and BBM. I don’t use either, but they just seem easier to use and easier to communicate than Snapchat.
Does anyone else use Snapchat? What are your thoughts?

The reason facebook purchased WhatsApp is due to the fact SnapChat turned down a multi billion dollar offer from Facebook, in basic terms the two are closely related in terms of features – I just don’t see Snapchat ever becoming huge .. maybe if someone like Yahoo picks it up and reinvents Yahoo IM into it

I just saw an interesting article about Snapshot on Paste.

Here’s the first two paragraphs of the article. Pretty interesting!
Snapchat has been the perfect little app for trading quick meme photos with friends and recording short video messages. Now with its biggest update yet, Snapchat has added texting and built-in video chatting for holding actual conversations.
Instead of just sharing snaps and clips that disappear after a moment’s notice, this new update lets you text inside Snapchat for the first time. All users have to do is pop into a conversation as they normally would and tap on the new text box alongside the app’s familiar capture button.

I’ve never used that app before. Is it same as Whats app and Viber ?
It’s an app that allows you to send pictures for a limited period of time, for example 10 seconds. Once it’s opened, it will stay open for 10 seconds, and then it will delete itself. If someone takes a screenshot of it, you are noticed, too. You can also chat with this app.

Such as you, I use Snapchat from time to time, it`s too unusual, comparing with similar apps, that you instantly come back to Whatsapp or BBM
Besides the self-destruction of messages, there were troubles with the microphone during videocalls, at least this happened to me
