“Telegram Messenger is a cross-platform messenger whose clients are open source. Telegram users can exchange encrypted and self-destructing messages, photos, videos and documents (all file-types supported). Telegram is officially available for Android and iOS (including tablets and no-wifi devices). Unofficial clients for Windows Phone, as well as a Web version, OS X version, Linux version and a Windows desktop client are available from independent developers using the Telegram API.”
I prefer to use Telegram now, just because I can use it on my laptop too. What about you?

I heard about some encrypted software on the market, but I would prefer the classical apps with visible messaging. If I want to see once again the place of my meeting with friends, the information would be lost and have to ask once again the name of location. In addition, my girlfriend would miss that glamorous stickers provided by other apps, what`s the fun in sending a big heart and in few seconds, to have it killed?
Anyhow, the idea is good for those to care about anonymity and privacy

I use Laptop & so prefer Telegram as it is magnificent to use for messaging.
I won’t say that Whatsapp is bad cause I use whatsapp on my phone.
Great combination,isn’t it?
Now that Viber has launched a version for desktop, I presume the combination would be even funnier
I used a little bit Telegram, since only few of my friends suggested me that, while the majority of them are addicted to Viber. I appreciate its improved graphics, it definitely looks better than Viber

I have recently started using the Telegram App. It will take some time where it can take over Whatsapp as the No 1 Chat application. As more friends start using it, its users base will expand.

Not that much time, probably one month
You will see Telegram is more intuitive than Whatsapp, it prompts you in few second the contact you are looking for, as well as the stickers

Telegram is getting popular as all your messages are store online and it can get sync across devices. Generally like Whatsapp, u will lose the messages after you change the phone without extracting the backup database.

You are right about losing your messages, if you choose to use another smartphone. Personally, I never created an archive of my last messages, I don`t have patience to browse around and see what I wrote in the past, but I presume there are customers interested in this issue
Probably these apps will develop a solution based on cloud, so that the necessary backup to be perfomed easier and in a more comfortable way

Yes, some customers want to have their past chat history for personal or business purpose. We can still keep these chat history even when we switch phones or platforms. Best part it can sync across devices.

Telegram is good as everything can be sync over the cloud. The good thing is you will never lose the messages again unless Telegram server is down. No matter which smart phones u use, the messages will still be there.

This feature delighted me too
In addition, I like the fact that you can properly share videos, for example if it`s a trailer, it will be displayed as an attractive preview

Telegram still needs some time to build up its brand name. Most are still using Whatsapp chat group for friends and business needs.

I guess Whatsapp benefits of the advantage of being among the first chatting apps, that`s why its popularity is still untouched, although some other apps as Telegram or Line can perform the same tasks, sometimes in a more attractive way

Telegram is gaining its popularity in recent months only. It will not be able to challenge the big brands like Whatsapp, Viber, Line or Tango yet. The only thing it is different from others is it backup your messages on the cloud.

I’ve been using Whatsapp extensively on my iPhone and I’m enjoying it. I do quite a bit of texting and I love being able to do group chats easily and effectively. I also love that it’s fully cross platform and I can use it on any device that I have practically without having to have separate apps.
