A lot of people think by getting a cheap phone with a removable SIM card is going to allow them to use any SIM card from any operator in Morocco, but it’s not the case, you have to check if your phone is unlocked by  trying different SIM cards and if it’s still not working, Most of the places selling SIMs have all the gear necessary to unlock phones. And the prices are cheaper here, unlike other countries, in Turkey you have to register your phone before using a local operator SIM, in Morocco, you just have to spend 20 Dh to get your phone operating properly.

Yes, I agree with you, I once bought a phone from Meditel operator, and I wanted to change the operator to Inwi, then I found out I had to unlock my phone, luckily it was cheap 20 DH like to mentioned and also it didn’t take a long time, I remember it only took a couple of hours.
