If you get your cell phone wet, or drop it in the water, the local trick in Nicaragua to try and fix it is RICE. Try taking your entire phone apart, take out the sim card, the battery and leave it all in pieces. Find a plastic bag and fill it with rice. Bury your phone in the rice and tie off the top of the bag. Let it sit overnight before opening the bag. At that point try putting it back to together and maybe…just maybe it will work. The rice pulls the moisture out and often this trick works….maybe not so much if you drop it in the ocean, but a puddle it is likely you will have a working phone. Good luck.
