Since I’ve been traveling Central America I have had to be pretty creative when it comes to cell phones. I brought my unlocked phone from America, and just buy sim cards in whatever country I’m in. My experience in Panama was, by far, the worst. I got a sim card from +Movil and some prepaid minutes. What a disaster. I used approximately 10% of the minutes I bought simply because I just couldn’t get service anywhere. If you’re traveling Panama, and plan on buying minutes for your phone, I suggest buying as few as possible until you know you will be able to get service where you are traveling to.
