Probably the cheapest way to call from Romania to other states in the European Union would be to use the services of DIGI, a local telecom provider, but not that popular as Orange and Vodafone, taking in account the number of active users

DIGI grants its users a rate of 0.024 eurocents/minute for international calls towards Area 1

The following users say thank you to Costin for this useful post:

That’s cheap! Have you ever used DIGI before? Is the call quality clear?

I have a friend in Romania, I might mentioned DIGI to her in case she’s not aware of their rates.

Orange has also some options granting you international minutes that allow you to call from Romania to UE and USA/Canada to fix a telecom!

This month I’ve received a notification from Orange(the network I use at the moment) that presented me with an offer to activate an option that will grant me 100 international min to call any number fix or mobile( along other national, sms, and internet) for 6$ Laugh

It might be a solution!

It`s cheap, but sometimes the sound is dull, at least that was my impression, when using DIGI in roaming. Probably I`m too used with Orange`s HD sound

It`s impossible for your friend not to know about DIGI, lately the company has implemented an aggressive campaign, advertising all over and very attractive promotions (unlimited calls, messages inside the network and 5GB for internet traffic, everything for 5EURO)
