Do you still use long distance calls or do you prefer now contacting friends/relatives through chat service providers? I know some people who still buy prepaid cards for long distance calls, but I think it’s quite not that practical now considering the cost. I might just consider doing the same as a last resort, in case there’s an emergency and I don’t have any access at all through the internet.

No I don’t. But I used KeepCalling which is cheapest service provider I ever used as it cost only $0.01 to $0.03 per minute for major countries so you can make call at lowest possible rate I guess.

I am using chat service providers like Facebook, Line or Tango to contact my oversea friends. The line through these chat providers are very clear as technology has improved.

I uses Skype to talk with overseas clients. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t use Skype when it’s totally free! (At least when talking with people who also have Skype!)

The company I`m working for uses too Skype, but sometimes the image isn`t excellent and the sound is accompanied with interruption, which transforms communication into a riddle. I usually ask the customer to repeat, some understand it`s something related to Skype, while others get annoyed that I`m not paying enough attention

Personally, I use a local Google Voice number as a calling card sort of to make long distance U.S. calls. It’s free, at least, for the time being and that way I don’t have to have a long distance plan when talking to relatives that don’t use Skype or something similar.

Unfortunately, this service isn`t available in my country, as far as I know it didn`t enter the European market until this moment, but it seems a reliable solution for business communicationLaugh

Most people nowadays do not have to pay for long distance call. Many people are on Line and Facebook and you can just dial it for free from your app.

From my point of view, the quality of calls on Facebook has to be improved. For example, if you initiate a call and you want to reply to a message, the app will take few seconds to think what to do, which isn`t satisfactory, while Line or Viber is able to do it simultaneously
