Before the smart phones are popular, I usually did lot of banking activities with my credit union using the computer. Main issues I faced with the PC branch is to deposit a check, which I did by scanning my check and upload the scanned image. Most of the times this was painful due to the issue with scanned images, which was not accepted for some reason.

Now with the iPhone app provided by my credit union, taking a picture of the check using the camera in the phone and depositing through what’s called the mobile branch is a child’s play. I save the trouble of spending hours for scanning, and also avoid mailing the checks which saves the money for stamps. I love my iPhone app for banking!

here in the philippines 2 banks – BPI and BDO has their own apps to download and clients find it very useful.  On top of it, majority of the big local banks can be access online thru internet banking which you can easily browse on your phone as well.
