Smartphones are smart for a reason, but are you smart yourself using it?
For me, if the lights went off I use my phone’s flashlight to help myself out. When I want to check on my appearance I use the front camera. And I learned lately that I can use my phone as a heart rate monitor if I combined the camera and flash. I can scan barcodes to seek the convenient price for me.

Your dilemma reminds me of a local saying in my country: a good cloth doesn`t make you a lord, but it certainly makes you feel good
A similar thing occurs with smartphones, it makes you do some incredible things, that probably we haven`t imagines few years ago
I use my Sony Xperia Z2 as a remote control with the Sony Bravia TV I have, since I tend to forget where I put its original controller. My smartphone saves me from a headache
