Today I skimmed a TV channel and saw part of an episode of the Doctors talk show. They mentioned an app that allows smart phone users to talk to a live healthcare professional to have a chat with and they supposedly can even set it up so that you can get prescriptions.
I’m not sure what the name of the app is, or any of the fees involved. However, it is interesting that smart phones are being used in this way. It’s probably very useful to be able to talk to someone without having to setup an appointment and spend time in a clinic or hospital over something possibly minor.

On one hand, it`s a time gaining that you don`t have to go to hospital to find the answer to a question, but yet medicine is based on analysis
How could a doctor hear your heart`s beating and understand what`s wrong, if you are only a chatting person?
I think those apps are useful for minor diseases such as a cold, but for major issues medicine has to be what it is

Yeah, I agree. It’s difficult to diagnose many things over a video call. Also, it opens a realm of ethic issues when you’re dealing with substances that could cause addictions and giving out the prescription for it too easily. On the other hand, it saves time, and if you need a prescription for something minor like antibiotics. It could also reduce disease spread by having patients not be exposed to other patients as much.
