Have you ever wanted to see a digital representation of an object in your house on your computer screen? With 3D printer technology advancing at a rapid pace, it’s very important to be able to scan objects in 3D in our every day lives. Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have developed a technology to use a smart phone’s hardware to scan an object in 3D just by moving the phone around the object. This is pretty cool and I can’t wait to see the technology in action.
