I must be living under a rock when it comes to this. I had never heard of the Internet.org project until now, it seems like an interesting endeavor. The goal is to provide minimal access to certain low bandwidth websites for free without users having to purchase a data plan. By doing this, it would mean that people in poorer countries might be able to experience the internet more and learn to see it’s potential in their general population. It would also mean that people in developed countries where there’s still people not subscribing to Internet services could still give them a try without fees. I have to admit, I do wonder about privacy, especially with Facebook being the one heading the project. There seems to be a fair amount of protesting against the project by other entities online, and against the fact that it’s not ‘net neutral.’
