Let’s compare for a little Smartphones versus previously “Dumbphones”.

If you ask me, i am using my smartphone for everything, especially GPS, all type of notifications, fast internet – of course, posting, reading, commenting and all other related to my internet needs. Somebody will said “that was also able to do with ‘dumbphones’ “. Partially right, but not exactly. For example, with previous models you have option to turn on facebook notification, but only for every new event. Now, with smartphone you can turn off not needed notifications and label only very important to show. Same thing with your personal email. GPS is very practically today, and you can find a lot good navigation apps around, instead of previous model phones.

These are only fraction of what you also can do with your smartphone, i won’t talk about organizer of your life including all notifications about real life. So, don’t waste you time using your smartphone as a dumbphone, and get updated and connected with all that smartphone can offer you.

The Nokia 97 is a ‘dumb phone’ but supported a full 5 megapixel camera, colour display, GPS and wifi – in many respects smart phones we’re around, just not as smart, however the concept of them being these big clunky black and white dorky things doesnt stick :P

on the contrary, if you have a smartphone but not maximizing use of it then you can consider that an isolated case. same goes with analog phones but super maximize in terms of use and life longevity.  im actually surprise to see here in philippines some old analog nokia still exist. hehe…

Although its name had to suggest the evolution, sometimes smartphones can be really dumphones. I will give you a personal example.

As a teenager, I kept using Nokia, since it was the hottest brand on the market. In 2009, after using Xperia Ray, I thought to give a try to an Asha model. A big disappointment, since the so-called qwerty keyboard included broken key, for instance pressing 3 wouldn`t generate any reaction. Not to mention the gadget cost me 90EURO
