I have the HTC 1x and I am in Australia with Voadfone and find that if I don’t turn my mobile data off it chews through all of my allocated mobile data within a few days. I have downloaded a few apps but with the android there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop the apps from using all my data. Does anybody know any tips or tricks to stop these apps from accessing the Internet 24/7?  I am getting massive phone bills at the end of each month and it’s a nightmare. Haven’t had this problem with any of the other android phones I have had over the years.Yell

I didn`t know Vodafone entered the Australian market, I was only aware it was present in India

What kind of apps did you download?

In order to save my internet traffic, I usually turn on the Wifi option, only when I need it

As a matter of fact, when you accept the terms of an app, the developper forces your hand by prompting as neccessary to accept the need of the app to accept internet, whenever it`s required

Some apps allow to customize their settings, while in the case of the most popular such as Viber, you have get used with the situation, unless you uninstall it for good
