I’ve heard of video based healthcare conferencing apps that allow you to conference with a healthcare professional in order to diagnose minor issues and perhaps get a prescription. However, this app seems to be claiming that it can help detect skin cancer by  taking high resolution photos of your moles and other skin abnormalities and then send them to specialists in that field. It seems to be an interesting idea and I actually sort of hope that it takes off. Skin cancer is one of those silent killers that we often overlook and don’t pay enough attention to.

I have my doubts with these medical apps, I mean I can undestand that an app can make an association between the steps I take and the good shape of my heart, since daily action prevents obesity, but to believe that an app can detect cancer is far from my reach

I might believe that it can detect skin cancer, since it will probably scan areas of skin, but other types of cancer I am afraid it`s not possible
