Sky Go is the streaming service that allows you to watch Sky when you’re not in front of the TV. You can now watch programmes on any compatible PC, Mac, laptop, tablet or smartphone – including iPads, iPhones and several Android devices.

Sky Go is free to all Sky TV customers. When you use Sky Go for the first time, you’ll be asked to link Sky Go to your TV account.

Sky are in one of those markets where the competition is so high with the two big brands they could quite easily and quietly produce a small following before getting on the radar. LG and Samsung dont appear at least to have a hostile relationship which is good but that said Sky make ok phones, but really could do with pushing it a little further, the prices of SOCs in that area of the world are by comparison cheap so no reason why they couldn’t inject themselves into the market .. just lose the crap specs

like in any other brand war – though top 1 and top 2 are the leader, there is still a market for the best 3.  sky mobile has the streaming service/ feature that seems interesting for others and not part of the top 2 providers offer.

they are really just a local brand trying to scrape up the scraps from the others, a niche market really like cherry mobile if you cant afford the best you get the best you can for the money you have left.

in the philippines, those who are tags “cannot afford” is not niche, they are more or less 50% of the consumer market.  so it is not so niche after all.  however in singapore, those “can’t afford” are solely part of the 10% buyers that opt to get china-made phones.  totally different market.

your confused i.e incorrect about the usage of the word niche within this topic, the niche applies to the concept that they are scrapping up the scraps of whats left without any manufacturing process.

thanks too krisstoffer.

anyways going back to the topic and based on what the others said – since korea’s skyphone is not considered number 1 nor number 2, is it safe to conclude it belongs to those category of affortable locally produce smartphnoe in the counrty?
