Proliferation of cell phone towers every where is a serious health hazard for humans as well as animals. Here microwave radiation is involved and prolonged exposure to it is potentially damaging. It is a known scientific fact which some sponsored “researches” are trying to dispel.
Most visible effect is on birds. Several birds like sparrows and crows that were exiting in large numbers in the cities are now becoming scarce.

Ideally as long as you don’t live right next to a Cell Tower you should be reasonably safe, besides just general cellular radiation. They actually have FCC guidelines I believe on transmitter power, how far it can be from a house / centers of population and such because some radio towers use quite a bit of power and as a result output a bit of certain types of radiation. I personally don’t want my house anywhere near a cellular tower. Just close enough to get a good signal.

All kinds of radiation is not bad. Prolonged exposure to these towers MIGHT lead to a problem. Which is still not proven and hence there is nothing to worry about.
In my country, I think some people are crazy for money, accepting to expose themselves to radiations. You can see antennas on 10 floors buildings, where owner get paid each year for hosting on the roof the telecom unit
An antenna doesn`t handle as much content as a tower, still I don`t see in a heavy way people living at the last floor in those buildings
