I have an HTC One SV, running 4.2.2, but I think this problem is to be found on many models and makes. While the phone is asleep and charging on the PSU the screen will intermittently light up. I have done a search on the internet and found that many have this problem. Has anyone ever found an answer to this?

I used HTC, but it didn`t face this issue

When you say asleep, does it mean that it`s turned off? If it`s so, try to charge it, while it`s turned on and see whether the issue reappears

You can also try a restart or take off the case and see whether is some dust inside causing the trouble
