It’s a scary thought, the worlds biggest operating system at the moment, android controlled by Google, the biggest creators of devices for said operating system Samsung teaming up on patents but thats just whats happened. This is a long and winding story but in short for the longest time Samsung has been sued back and forth by Apple.. some they won, some they lost but in the long run it’ll cost them billions which they can afford to lose as silly as that sounds.

At the same time Google who purchased Motorola and along with them THOUSANDS of patents related to mobile devices – so many in fact Google literally gave more than a few of them to HTC to help them fend of Apple.. so HTC has some patents from Google, Motorola are owned by Google and now Samsung has access to all Googles patents current, past and future ones for the next 10 years of course this works vice versa with Google also attaining access to Samsungs in the same manner for the same time period but it’s surely a great keep away tactic from Google to stop it’s OEMS from being persistently sued.

One can only hope that Samsung do not use them in a reckless manner and opt to innovate with the tech available to them rather than continue the court wars!

Looks like Google is more interested in policing in rather than dominating it with devices, when they sold Motorola it was confirmed they also held onto the patents fromt hat deal (which explains why Lenovo got them cheap) .. Google also bailed out HTC by giving them patents when up against Apple ..

It’s a shame Google didn’t but out Nokias patent library then they would pretty much have complete control of anything in the past 80 years or so

I don’t understand what your question is, can you make it make more sense – in terms of how it applies to the original topic.
