I love my phone, with the exception that the screen flashes on about every 15 minutes. That may not sound like a big deal, but it’s quite a drain on the battery. I’ve tried, putting the phone in airplane mode, turning off wifi, stopping all of the services I don’t need, and yet it still comes on every 15 minutes or so for almost a full minute. It’s really annoying. Anyone know of a fix?

I would honestly just swap out the rom for Cyanogenmod, I’m running Cyanogenmod on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (latest so CM11 aka Android 4.4 kitkat) works a treat and no real issues in all honesty – worth a look but to figure out what is causing that oddball issue you would be wise to review the battery log for jump points from specific apps or get usb debugging enabled and play with ADB to see whats happening as it happens.
