I find it so amusing that kids these days have been raised with their own smartphones, and have no concept of things like; regular cell phones (without smartphone capabilities), pagers, pay phones or rotary phones.  Here’s a great video of a bunch of kids being introduced to a rotary phone.  I love the part where they are trying to figure out how to text from it.

lol i liked that, I recall dialing 1471 on those phones over and over again then running off so my mother would come to the phone, those unaware 1471 used to be a simple dial line test thing .. which amused kids like me for generations ;)

Too funny.

It’s true, though…today’s generation has no idea what it was like to have to stop in at a payphone if they needed to make a call. I don’t think any payphones exist any more – in the United States at least.

Aha.. retrospective. Interesting about rotary phone. I ve once given phone number with five no 8 and no 9. Reason because i pay normal fee. Imaging how long to wait to finish dialing?

How about this! While growing up in the 80’s we had 2 phones in the house. At my parents house right now they 4 phones for landline and 2 cell phones.
