Although it`s culturally linked to Asia, Turkey adopted European models, at least in the sphere of telecommunitcation

If you intend to stay one month or less, I can recommend from my own experience a prepaid service from Cellomobile. You can add 5EURO or even 10 EURO to your account, if you wish. You will be charged as follows: 0.6 eurocents/min for local calls, 1.99 EURO for external destinations and 0.56 eurocents per message

If you wish to use the internet traffic, it`s wiser to use the Wifi connection of your hotel, it`s quite expensive, but maybe it will be reduced soon, as Turkey prepares to enter European Union

Turkey is an attractive market in terms of telecommunication

I think during the next five years, Vodafone or Cosmote will enter it. Naturally, I hope Orange will do it sooner
