I currently live semi rural in Florida, and I have to say that I’ve had very few internet options out here, even though I’m not really that far from a city. The only wired connection that I can purchase is a rather slow and expensive DSL connection from AT&T.
The primary cell phone provider out here is AT&T and Verizon, although their service is pretty sketchy in this part of the state. It becomes a lot better close to town but it’s very strange. I say strange, because I have cell phone towers within half a mile of my property and yet the service is still sketchy.
Sadly I cannot try out any of the smaller start up cell providers because they’re usually only in very large metro areas.
