Kyocera have released the Kyocera Hydro Plus a low spec but waterproof phone great for thos elooking for inexpensive rugged device which actually works very well. It’s not the worlds quickest phone with only a single 1GhZ processor, a tiny 3.2 megapixel camera, 2GB of interal storage and a teeny 512 Megabytes of RAM

All this running on top of Android 4.0 (yes, 4.0) and no LTE but if your aim is for a functional device for the basics that has a few tricks up it’s sleeves and can survive being dropped in the toilet .. then the Kyocera Hydro Plus is certainly worth a look
