Looks like fingerprint scanners are going to be in everything this year, Apple of course the first to do it ‘right’ so far with there touchid setup will no doubt be taking a lot of credit for the rise of such tech in mobile devices. HTC did add a fingerprint scanner to the HTC One MAX a massive device but the position of the scanner as well as it’s working method (or not) prevent it from being thought of as a useful hardware edition.

LG are next on the list with suggestions being that the LG G2 Pro and the G3 will introduce fingerprint scanners, rumours have also suggested that the S5 would use a retina scanner but of late this has been scaled back to the more relistic idea of fingerprint scanner also

I’ve been thinking about getting an LG G3, but I haven’t heard anything about fingerprint scanning. Is that related to use of the phone – like locking, or just what amounts to something ‘cool’ that doesn’t really serve a purpose other than being ‘cool’?
