Yeah, the original poster basically posted a spec sheet with no real story about the device so here goes.. all off the top of my head as it’s not a device for this crowd imho hence why I never posted about it but ..

OnePlus is the company making the phone the OnePlus One, the team at OnePlus are made up of former Oppo employees, Oppo produced the stunning Oppo Find 5 and a bunch of other ok phones. These phones run on Colour OS .. a custom version of Android but they are unique in the sense that the company (Oppo) does support CyanogenMod ..

OnePlus are using this same method to produce a phone using the team at CyanogenMod to make the software awesome, while they work on the device itself. The specs for this device place it in the high end category, however given it’s software base is CyanogenMod it will never be on par with the other devices in the high end category in terms of whats known as ‘consumer based feature-set and functionality’ i.e what the little people like to play with.. near camera tricks.. social posting.. stuff etc etc

The OnePlus One is expected to place itself in the high end of the mid range price bracket in that it’s a cheap high end device but by no means cheap it’s a decent device by all accounts but it’s not a device you could pick up just about anywhere, likewise with the Oppo you have to know the device to be looking for it to .. get it.. kinda phone I would get i guess

Has anyone bought this phone yet? If so does it live up to the hype?
