could it be that you didn’t turn the loudspeaker on, although recorded audio is not the greatest in the GS4 an external mic setup will likely resolve that issue

Do you have a case on your phone? Maybe that’s the problem. Do you have problems with calling? Did you check the settings? If that is not the problem, you might want to go back to the shop that sold it to you.
My audio is so good I can hear myself breathe in a video I made (and no, I wasn’t breathing that loud! )

It ready also depends on where your sound is coming from. U really need to bring the speaker near to the sound source to get a good recording with clear sound coming out of the video.

Oh my gosh! That totally looked like a baby snake to me! Considering how you were jumping around and being distracted, the video quality is actually pretty good – not too juttery and the lighting stayed consistent. By the way, I’m glad you pointed out that you don’t usually wear socks with flip flops.

How can I make good quality video from this mobile?
With every smartphone, you should set the highest resolution, before recording, in order to be sure the result would be satisfactory
In the case of S4, the camera should be set at 1920×1080 (16:9) or 1440×1080 (4:3)
You can also add some Video Stabilization
