It's possible to change your YouTube profile picture on desktop or mobile. You can upload a new photo in your YouTube channel settings. The ideal size for your YouTube profile picture is 800px by 800px.
Changing your YouTube profile picture takes just a few steps, and it can be done on the YouTube website or on the YouTube app for iPhone or Android.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Tap Your Channel.
- Tap EDIT CHANNEL, then tap your profile picture.
- You can take a photo or choose a photo to upload.
- Click SAVE.
Your profile picture must follow our Community Guidelines and meet the following criteria:
- JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG file (no animated GIFs).
- 800 X 800 px image (recommended).
- Square or round image 4 MB or smaller.
Enter the relevant keywords for the tutorial.
Provide the complete url of the video starting with http.

If you can't be able to change your profile picture on YouTube, then it could be Because your YouTube account is linked to your Google account, you'll need to make your profile photo change in your Google account settings. Changing your profile photo will also change it on other Google apps, including Gmail and Hangouts.
