This feature is only available to people using the Instagram app on an Android or iPhone. When you add your accounts to Accounts Centre, you can share your Instagram posts to Facebook.
Instagram posts that you share to Facebook will appear as a post in your Facebook Feed and profile. The audience for Instagram posts that you share to Facebook may be different from the audience for posts that you create on Facebook. This setting can be changed at any time.
To change the audience from the Instagram app:
- Start creating a photo or reel.
- Before sharing your post, tap Advanced settings.
- Tap Facebook audience below Preferences. From here you can choose to share with.
- Friends on Facebook: All of your Facebook friends can see your Instagram post on Facebook.
- Only me: Only you can see your Instagram post on Facebook.
- Public: Anyone on or off Facebook can see your Instagram post on Facebook.
Note that you can also change your audience on Facebook for a specific post after you've shared the post to Facebook.
If you choose to update your audience settings, the audience for all posts that you share from Instagram to Facebook will be the same audience as posts that you create on Facebook. Bear in mind that after you've made this update, you will no longer be able to use Instagram to change the Facebook audience for Instagram posts that you share to Facebook. Instead, you'll need to update the default audience for your Facebook posts to change the audience for Instagram posts that you share to Facebook.

To share posts from your Instagram account to your Facebook Page, you first need to be an admin of that Page on Facebook and you may need switch your personal account to a professional account to link to a Facebook Page (if the Facebook Page is managed in a Business Manager).
If you connect your Facebook Page to your personal Instagram account, it will switch your Instagram account to a professional one. Your Instagram Professional Account will be public and you’ll have access to new features.
