Whatsapp free call feature is bliss for users, for the past few weeks, scammers have been misusing this excellent feature to trap people by making spam calls using international numbers. While currently, there is no way to STOP receiving spam calls on WhatsApp, one thing you can do for some intermittent relief is silence calls from unknown numbers.
The feature to silence spam calls from unknown numbers is now available for all WhatsApp users. If you are not able to find this feature in the settings of your WhatsApp app, it is recommended to update the app from Google Play Store or App Store.
- Open WhatsApp on your Android phone.
- Here, tap the “three dot” icon at the top right corner. Then, select the “Settings” option in the drop-down menu.
- Now, locate and tap on the “Privacy” settings option.
- Now, move to the “Calls” option and enable the “Silence Unknown Calls” toggle to avoid spam calls on WhatsApp.
And it’s done. Now all incoming calls from unknown numbers will be silenced on WhatsApp, and you won’t have to both with them.

While there is no way to block calls from unknown numbers, WhatsApp is rolling out a feature for general users with which you can silence spam calls from unknown numbers.
