When you create a Telegram account, all the contacts on your phone get synced to the application. These synced contacts are accessible on any device running your Telegram account because it’s a cloud-based service. However, when you log-in to Telegram through a secondary device, the contacts on it would probably sync too.
There are many ways to delete your Telegram contacts, one at a time or all at once. Besides, it is better to disable the option to sync Telegram contacts to your phone to avoid deleting the same contact again and again.
- Open the Telegram app.
- Tap on the Settings menu in the top left corner of the screen (the three lines).
- Select Settings.
- Select Privacy and Security.
- Then, tap the toggle next to Sync Contacts to toggle it off.
Now Telegram won't sync any new contacts you add to your phone with the app. However, any contacts you've already synced will still appear in the app.
