When you first create your Discord account, the platform lets you choose a username for yourself. You can always modify your username later, though. Discord also allows you to use a different nickname on each server you join.
Each Discord user has a username that is split into two parts: a regular username that can be changed at any time, and a tag that can't be changed unless they're a Discord Nitro subscriber.
- Open the Discord app on your Android or iPhone and tap the profile icon in the bottom-right corner.
- Go to Account and select Username from the following menu.
- On the Edit Username screen, type your new username.
Enter the relevant keywords for the tutorial.

Keep in mind that usernames aren't unique, so you do technically have the ability to clone your friends' names.
