You can limit replies to your tweets on Twitter so that only those you follow, or only those you mention in the tweet, can respond.
Before this new feature, users could only limit who could reply to their tweets by putting privacy settings on their entire account.
Before hitting send on a tweet, you can select who you'd prefer to receive replies from. You can allow replies from everyone if you're fine with that, but you can also limit your responses to people you follow or just people you've mentioned in your tweet.
Twitter has added a new feature that allows you to limit replies to only those you follow, or only people you mention in the tweet for each individual tweet.
This feature is useful if you want to limit your notifications, or if you just don't want a flood of arguments or advice that you know a certain tweet will bring. Now you can have more control over how you interact with online communities.

Locate the tweet on your Twitter timeline and tap on the three-dot icon in the top right corner of the tweet item and then tap on Change who can reply and select any of the three options. Even when you restrict who can reply to your post, anyone that sees your post can still retweet with a comment.
